About the American Small Pelagics Network
The American Small Pelagics Network represents the fishermen, processors, suppliers and coastal communities connected to menhaden, mackerel, herring and other small pelagic fisheries along the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf coasts.
ASPN formed to give the fishermen, processors, suppliers and coastal communities behind these fisheries a voice.
Small pelagic species are part of marine food webs and America's seafood economy. They support bait supply, aquaculture, agriculture, nutrition, pet food and coastal employment.
